1. Use this interactive recorder chart and learn how to play the note B on the recorder.
2. Use the poem below to improvise your own melody using the notes we know on the recorder. D' C' B A G

a. Record yourself playing your song.
b. Write 3-5 sentences about how to properly play the recorder. (hand placement, breath, reading music, etc)

1. Make your own set of rhythm cards. Use the picture to the left for an example. You can use and paper or materials you have at home.
2. Make at least 4 cards for each rhythm in the picture on the left.

3rd Grade: Ta, Ti-Ti, Rest, Tika-Tika, and Two-
3. Once your cards are made, make two 4 beat rhythm patterns.
4. Choose from the two options
a. Record yourself saying and clapping your rhythm pattern
b. Write down your rhythms on a piece of paper and turn it in during your next music class.

1st Grade & Kindergarten: Do you want to build a Snowman?
1. Go outside and make a snowman! Dress him up anyway you wish! (make sure you ask your parents!) *If it is too cold, draw a snowman instead! 2. Once your snowman is finished, write a short song about your snowman. *Think about what your snowman could do, say, eat, or think. 3. Write down your song and turn it in during your next music class. |
